We got the tube into town after that and went to Leicester Square which is close to the British Museum so went in there for a look. We saw some sweet mummies and heaps of other stuff but it was getting overtaken by tour groups and school trips (young kids are so annoying! glad I never was one haha) so we ditched the museum and went to check out some other stuff. We walked around the town a bit more, went through Seven Dials (a place which featured quite heavily in a book I read called London, which is an awesome book by the way) on the way to Trafalgar Square where we watched a busker for awhile, but he was way too interested in getting the crowd to move forward and fill the gaps, while not actually doing anything so we snuck away when he wasn't looking.
We walked on towards Westminster Abbey after that, by way of Downing Street where we saw some horse guards and also horse police. When we got to Westminster Abbey we were checking out some statues around there and noticed the police bike cops blocking off a road so we thought we would wait and see what they were doing... just making way for the queen to come through in her awesome British Racing Green Bentley!! First day in London, saw the Queen, sorted. Anyway after that we checked out Big Ben and the houses of Parliament and went over the bridge to see the London Eye and walked down the river a way. We went down Fleet Street by accident and around that area and then decided we were tired after walking for 5 hours so went on the tube back to Hammersmith.
We went to Tesco's (supermarket) which was awesome, I love supermarket shopping. Also they have so much exciting vege stuff there which I can't wait to try! I got a nicoise salad and some olives with feta, Quentin got 9 mini pizzas and about 50 tiny donuts. We also got bread, vintage cheddar and hummus for later, and 2 litres of lemonade for 17pence. Cray cray. Then we went back to the hotel and watched shows and read british trashy magazines for the rest of the night.
Oh and I totally forgot to mention that we went to a massive M&Ms shop/building that had 4 floors and all the M&M stuff you could ever imagine! Super intense!
