Day Thirty-Nine: Sad to leave Rome

When we woke up this morning I had a mega sore throat and realised I was getting sick. I had been sneezing and feeling really tired but thought it was just the heat. Boo. We had to get organised and get on our way to Florence anyway so we packed everything up and tidied up all our stuff. Quentin got a new crazy man friend from Denmark while he was filling up the water and washing the dishes, he was following Quentin around for ages and asking him questions like "do you know all the people in New Zealand" and other gems.

After we left the camp we went to the supermarket to stock up on cheap wine and other important items (like lollies) and headed out of town. We saw a place called Mr Pizza Drugstore and I looked at it but I really don't know what kind of place it was since it didn't look much like a pharmacy or a restaurant! We ended up having McDonalds for lunch in some crazy old town that we drove through, you drive like under castle walls and all sorts.

We had got a pretty late start so after we had driven for a few hours we started to look for somewhere to stay the night. We ended up finding the cutest place in the countryside with views all around and a couple of pretty big fancy houses just down the road. They had picnic tables and stuff there and there werent any other people so it was pretty perfect. We just hung out there for the evening reading and had chicken burgers for dinner. The burger patties had spinach in them and were yum and we used ciabatta for the buns so it was super delish. That's about all that happened on that day, not very exciting.

Entrance to a town.. pretty fancy!

Sweet building skills
